Field Service Technician

Grow ABTech’s annual revenue by expanding business with assigned accounts and product categories. Provide field demonstration, installation, training, maintenance, and repair services. Build and maintain relationships with key customers, repair facilities, and third-party sellers.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned locations on a regular schedule to introduce and maintain ABTech products and services to target prospects and existing customers.
  • Interface with key cross-functional areas, such as Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Master product information/application knowledge through training and personal efforts.
  • Assist customers with the installation/setup of procured products and may provide other required post-sales services.
  • Maintain contact with clients to obtain customer feedback and discuss future business prospects.
  • Provide customers with a product price quote and relevant literature such as product white papers and engineering reports.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedule to call on existing and prospective accounts.
  • Develop effective sales presentations tailored uniquely to each account or project.
  • Conduct price negotiations with customers on behalf of ABTech with guidance from ABTech leadership and business practices.
  • Manage the opportunity list and grow the prospect list.
  • Identify trends such as price of competing products, product demand, and current merchandising strategies.
  • Prepare and present to management regular reports on sales operations, new opportunities, and generated revenue.
  • Develop and implement strategies for achieving and exceeding set sales targets.
  • Ensure adherence to general business and company policies when conducting sales of products and services.
  • Attend educational programs and sales/marketing events to update job knowledge and expand personal network.
  • Prepare and enter orders, coordinate kick-off meetings, and provide order status updates to customers.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Travel 50%, including overnight stays.

Education and experience:

  • Minimum requirement: Some college and/or 2-5 years in a Field Service or Technical Sales role.
  • Engineering degree a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys travel. Passport required.

    ***Note: The pay range listed is negotiable per skillset and experience level. 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary

  • $55,000 to $75,000 per year.
  • Company bonus plan.
  • Travel reimbursement policy.
